In the Studio

My studio overlooks my backyard. My favorite piece is an old piesafe I acquired from my Mother after her death several years ago. She used to keep her knick knacks and china pieces in it, but I am sure she would forgive me for loading it down with art supplies. My work surface is an antique drafting table I found at a yard sale. I have shelves all around me filled with jars of glass bits and ceramic tiles, etc. Figuring out how to organize this was a hassle for my right brained self...so I finally organized everything by color! On this page you will find work in progress and a look into where I spend my most creative times.

This is the new stuff I've been working on for the Holiday show at the Urban Gardener Novemeber 18, 19, 20. I will try to get some good pictures for the gallery soon when they are totally finished and in their location at the shop.
Cool thin tall vase covered in browns, ambers, gold, beige and black. The star is cast iron about four inches across. It is grouted in a chocolate brown. The back is also down in the same mosaic pattern sans the star.
The fun chair to the right is almost finished. It was a side of the road find. It is done in all reds, yellows, blacks, and whites and I've done a lot of painting as well. There will be wires of beads in the same colors where the missing back dowels are.
This is a pretty awful picture of a new ball that is really nice with lots of purples, reds and blue. You can also see a greenn willow dish to the left of the ball as well.
Don't know what I did wrong with my camera here, but this is a pair of vases with teal and purple hues. The large vase is an umbrella stand size mosaic vase created with blue, puple, white and black stained glass. Better pictures will be in the gallery soon.
